Nicolas Cage is the hero in every story but the one’s based on his life. Back in 2000 a copy of Action No. 1 Comic (Superman’s debut) stolen from his Nic-mansion was found 11 years later in an abandoned locker and auctioned off for a record $2.1 million. Lionsgate is bringing that story to the screen in its greenlit “Action No. 1”, a comedy about a gang of geeks who plot to steal the very rare comic. Cage has not expressed a wish to star in the film written and being produced by Ben Garant and Thomas Lennon of Reno 911 fame. No word about Cage’s involvement in any sequels either.
